THE MACHINE
The Machine explores the boundaries of human creativity and authorship. I created machine learning generated visual and text-based artworks utilizing custom datasets comprised of original art and text. This project examines the theoretical and critical implications and potential of emergent technology on contemporary art and the future of work. This project was exhibited at the Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems(NeurlPS) workshop “Machine Learning for Creativity and Design 2019” gallery.

THE DAILY COLLAGES
I created one new original artwork every day for over 2,500 consecutive days, sharing my work with over 8,000 daily followers. I was featured in a nationally syndicated PBS segment from 2016 to 2018 and my collages have been included in 14 gallery exhibitions.
This daily collage project ran from December 9, 2012 until October 15, 2019.

Concession/Acceptance
2016
Throughout the presidential campaign I was struck by the overwhelming spectacle of the election and the barrage of the breaking news stories. A month before election day I decided make a piece that captured this historic event and the hypermedia that surrounded it.
This handmade clamshell houses two books that features 26 collages that were created using images from eight different newspapers published the day before, day of, and the two days following the election.
The text is an erasure poem created by redacting selections of the Democratic and Republican candidate's respective concession and acceptance speech. The number of words that remain in each speech is equal to the number of votes each candidate received in the U.S. Electoral College on January 6, 2017.
This is a do-si-do style book, which means it combines two books into one. This book has two covers and can be read starting from either side.

EVERY AD
EVERY AD IN TEEN VOUGE DEC 2016
I made this piece in late 2016 covertly using a grad school copy machine that was clearly labeled "not for making art." I xerox copied every advertisement in the December issues of Teen Vogue magazine.
As I made this piece so much toner would build up on the page that the paper wouldn’t go through the machine anymore. Each time that happened I copied the over saturated copy on a fresh sheet of paper and then started copying the remaining ads again. This process resulted in 10 pages assembled on a grid.

Paper Cuts
I created and hosted a series of videos that explored the creative medium of collage on YouTube. To date this channel has 2,900+ subscribers, 144K views, and 540 minutes of watch-time.
This series captures my personality and offers educational tips through entertaining improvised content. I created the concept for each video, developed syllabi for series, performed as host, and handled all channel branding and strategy.
